Is it a choice… or how you are born?
One would have to be both physically and spiritually blind to have missed the vast strides that the homosexual agenda has made in recent months. The significance of the sitting president of our nation recently endorsing gay marriage cannot be denied. This national momentum carries ripple effects. Since then, in Montana, we have seen the official Montana Democratic Party platform endorse gay marriage. Praise God for states such as North Carolina who have made a courageous stand for right! This is a time to take a stand, and to follow the lead of states like this.
The world is confused. Society teaches our youth that homosexuality is a condition of birth, not a choice, and that you can’t become free from it. Proposed homosexual legislation is compared to civil rights reform, with zealous proponents preaching social enlightenment. This touches God’s heart—He does not want people deceived. There is a time to quote scripture and to call sin what it is, but this will not be the strategy that turns people to truth.
We must reveal the Father’s heart to the world. We must communicate that homosexuality is a choice driven by lust and manifesting as sin, which when brought to fruition, brings forth death (James 1:12-16). Our message cannot be condemnation (John 3:17), but needs to be life and hope (Deut. 30:19). We must address the spirit of fear which manifests as political correctness, and we must remove it from the road to get where we are going (see 2 Sam. 20).
Together we must stand against the destruction of the family. It is not too late to stand for truth. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Tim. 1:7) May you be blessed as you listen to the video.
